I love old horror movies even if they are not great, I love the fun of them. You can find hidden gems in old remote not often talked about horror movies from the 80’s and 90’s or earlier. I have two movies in mind I love that i want to tell you about. If you decide to watch them I feel there is a great chance you will love them as well.
The first one is a movie from 1981 called Happy Birthday to Me. This movie has Melissa Sue Anderson “Mary” from Little House n The Prairie. This movie features some great original kills. Especially for the Time it was released. It is truly a hidden gem with some great plot twist. The acting is pretty good as well.
The second movie I would like to talk about is even less know than Happy Birthday to me. It is 1991’s Popcorn. It features Dee Wallace, who I happen to love, she is a remarkable actress who has been in many horror movies that are classics such as Cujo and the Howling. This movie is unique in the way it sets up to show three movies from the 50’s and 60;s in scenes from a film festival that the characters in the movie are putting on. They even use old gimmicks from that time period, such as, odarama, what they call smell-o-vision. I don’t want to give too much away. This movie is fun, but it is not great. I personally enjoyed Happy Birthday To Me much more.
